DETROIT BLACK EXCELLENCE AWARDS COMMITTEE
The Detroit Black Excellence Awards Committee will identify outstanding African American individuals and organizations working in the areas of Education, Arts, Music, Entertainment, Sports, African-American Culture, Religion, Healthcare, Law, and Business.
Each sub-committee must identify and nominate artists for the opportunity to receive a Detroit Black Excellence Award at the Annual Detroit Black Excellence Award Gala. Each sub-committee has judging criteria specific to their art form. To serve on the Detroit Black Excellence Awards Committee, you must have a passion for the arts and the time to experience the work of as many artists and art organizations as possible within your category.

The Detroit Black Excellence Awards Gala (DBEAG) will lead the way in uplifting and inspiring the African American community in the city of Detroit. It will be one of the premium shows in all forms of visual media, including film, television, commercial advertisements, documentaries, music videos, trailers, and other forms of visual media. The DBEAG will be produced by top-tier television producers, composers, songwriters, and performers. The show will be nationally livestreamed.
